ESSENTIAL STRAIGHTENING CREAM:A>,Cover shoulder area with a plastic cape or towel and shampoo hair with Clarifying Shampoo. Do not brush, rub or vigorously shampoo scalp before straightening cream. Towel dry hair thoroughly!B>,Comb and section hair into four sections. Starting at the nape of the neck, make 3/4" partings across the section. C>,Apply ESSENTIAL STRAITHENING CREAM 1/2 inch away section by section starting at the nape of neck . Spread the product throughout the whole length of the hair including ends, while avoiding the root area. D>,Gently comb hair straight with a wide-tooth comb and with medium tension. Continue up to the top of the head gently combing each section, making sure there is enough product on the hair at all times.

PROCESSING:A>, Process hair at room temperature. Do not cover or use dryer. B>, Process the hair for 5 minutes. Take a few strands of hair at midpoint between the crown and the nape of the neck. Coil the hair around your index finger. C>, If the hair maintains its coiled form, it has been fully processed. If the coil opens, the hair needs additional processing. D>,Perform this test at different positions along the hair strand (top, middle and end). If this test indicates that the hair is sufficiently processed at the more porous areas of the hair strand (the end of the hair strand) but not at the more resistant crown area, place the ends of the hair on a towel and spray this processed portion (the end of the hair strands) with water to slow/stop the chemical reaction. E>,Perform this test in several different areas: crown, back, sides and top. F>,Repeat this test every 5 minutes until processing is complete. G>,When processing is complete rinse the hair for 5-7 minutes with warm water.H>,Keep the hair as straight as possible during the rinsing procedure.

IRON OPERATION PRECAUTIONS:A>,To prevent damage to hair, it is recommended to completely evaluate the hair. Do not use on damaged or weakened hair. B>,The safe temperature of the iron is 180°C/356°F or less. C>,Preheat the iron for one minute. When moving the iron, do no apply excessive pressure as this could cause damage to the hair. D>,Do not touch the scalp with the iron as it could cause flesh burns.

IRON OPERATION:A>,After rinsing out ESSENTIAL STRAIGHTENING CREAM, finger-dry the hair with a dryer, leaving 10-20% moisture in the hair before using the straightening iron. If too much moisture is left in the hair, the heat of the iron will generate steam, which could cause irritation to the skin. Also, if the hair is too dry, the hair could be damaged. Be extra careful to dry the hair to the proper state. B>,Comb and section hair .C>.Starting at the nape of the neck, take 1/8" sections not longer than the length of the iron. D>,Keep the iron at least 1/2" to 3/4" away from the scalp. Starting near the root area, treat 1/3 of the hair shaft, press, slide and repeat 2 times to a total of 2 seconds per location. Then go to the next section and repeat this  through the hair ends. Do not maintain the hot iron in one place forany length of time or hair breakage/burning may occur. A comb should be used to direct the hair exiting from the hot iron to prevent burning of the fingers. Since the hair near the scalp is more resistant than the ends, it may be necessary to straighten that area more. Some steaming may be noticed during the procedure. Continue this procedure up to the top of the head. E>,Avoid using clips for any length of time to pin the hair out of the way.

ESSENTIAL NEUTRALIZING CREAM:A>,When IRON OPERATION is complete, gently comb hair as smooth and straight as possible with a wide-tooth comb and apply the ESSENTIAL NEUTRALIZING CREAM. Start at the nape and make 3/4" partings across the section. Evenly saturate the hair from root to ends. B>,Comb the hair with a wide-tooth comb while maintaining the hair in a straight configuration to distribute the neutralizer evenly throughout the hair. C>,Process for 5 minutes, then thoroughly rinse out the ESSENTIAL NEUTRALIZING CREAM for approximately 5 minutes. D>,The hair is now ready for styling. Do not shampoo hair for 48 to 72 hours.

REGROWTH TREATMENT:A>,Follow instructions described above. B>,Apply ESSENTIAL STRAIGHTENING CREAM to the new growth area only, starting 1/2" from the scalp. After processing for 5 minutes at room temperature, take a small strand of the treated hair and coil it around your index finger. C>,If the treated hair strand maintains its coiled form, the hair has been fully processed. If the coil opens, the hair needs additional processing. D>,Perform this test in several different areas: crown, back, sides and top as well as at different positions along the treated hair strand. E>,Repeat this test every 5 minutes until processing is complete. F>,When this test indicates that the processing is almost complete, comb the product through the remainder of the hair and process for an additional 3 minutes.
